These were sold as accessories to the 1988 turtles line. Released in three different sets, the gags, jokes and weapons sets were the ultimate addition to your TMNT figures. These also saw the first release of the national turtle quiz jokebooks which become more common with future figures. The turtle squirt ring came in two versions, either silver or red. The sewer cover shield similar to the one with 1988 Rocksteady, the 1988 Cheapskate and the 1992 Movie Star Leo but a lighter grey with no lines above or below the words.
